http://cincinnatiprolife.org/ Flyer: http://cincinnatiprolife.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/2018postcard.pdf Our Adopted Pregnancy CenterWe've had offers of donations to GCYAL to support our cause, and that's wonderful! As a volunteer group of friends, we don't accept donations, BUT years ago we 'adopted' a crisis pregnancy center - Pregnancy Center East! Please support them if you feel moved to donate to the pro-life cause! They do wonderful work and would put your donation to great use here in the tristate area!
Website: https://pregnancycentereast.com/ We have a Facebook page!GCYAL converted our Facebook group to a Facebook page! We think this will be a great transition that will help us stay up to date in a more streamlined fashion! It is the most active of all of our media outlets, so like us and stay up to date on events!
Like our new page at https://www.facebook.com/GCYAL/ - the group will be closing soon! :D It's so easy! Pick up an hour for life!Mary Clark, the fearless leader of our local 40 Days for Life campaign, covers many, many of the 480 hours in front of the Planned Parenthood herself for lack of signups. Can you give even just one hour? It's SO easy to sign up!
Visit the local page here and pick an hour from their calendar! If you click on 'Week view' next to each upcoming week, it will show you each hour and what coverage is needed! An account is easy to set up, and then you get email reminders for your hour! What could be simpler? :D Two sides of the fence...We're still out on the sidewalk every Monday - come join us! The weather is getting more and more beautiful! Mini March - nearly 100 pray and we make the news!Nearly 100 people showed up to pray during Cincinnati's own "Mini March for Life", hosted by our GCYAL group! What a beautiful testament to life! And we even made the news in the Catholic Telegraph! See the article and pictures HERE. Mary Clark, organizer of Cincinnati 40 Days for Life, also shared comments from participants:
GCYAL also sent a group of 12 to D.C. for the National March - visit our GALLERY for pictures of the trip! Happy Feast Day of St. Philomena!August 11
It's the feast day of our group patron, St. Philomena! A few summers ago, she was chosen by group majority vote as our patron, a wonderful example of purity of life at a young age. We thought it fitting she be the patron of our young adult group, and each Monday night on the sidewalk, we pray to her for guidance and help in the fight against abortion. One of our members also recently shared information about the Universal Living Rosary Association of St. Philomena. "I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the Universal Living Rosary Association of St Philomena. It's a devotion founded by Ven. Pauline-Marie Jaricot in 1826. It's free to join, though they appreciate donations, and each member is given one decade of the Rosary to recite daily. There is no set time you have to say it, nor are you obligated under pain of sin, but the idea behind the Association is that, at least, one decade of the Rosary is being prayed every moment throughout every day. For more info, here is their website: http://philomena.org/" GCYAL will also pray the Litany to St. Philomena today - see the Litany below if you'd like to join us in this beautiful prayer composed by St. John Vianney! Make sure to click to the second page other prayers, including one by Ven. Pauline Marie Jaricot. |
