Every week, a reminder to come to prayer vigil shows up in our inboxes from the GCYAL listserv. Joe used to be our motivator, and now Travis has accepted the duty of getting everyone motivated and on the sidewalk to pray. I was really struck by his email this past Monday - with Thanksgiving coming, I just wanted to share it with everyone.
"Just a friendly reminder that the Greater Cincinnati young adults for life will be meeting for our weekly prayer vigil from six to seven tonight. It's time to brave the cold and show up to be the voice for those who are never given the chance to have one.
Since it is Thanksgiving this week I think we should offer up prayers of thanksgiving for our lives, our friendship, our families, and also for the recent pro life victories, the closing of the abortion clinic in Sharonville, and why not the closing of the Auburn Avenue clinic. Jesus Himself told us that whatever we ask for in prayer we should believe that we have already received it and it will be ours!"
Thank you for the inspiration, Travis!
